The Festival Gathering of the Network of Biblical Storytellers is famous for its quality workshops! We hope you will consider sharing your expertise with others at the Festival Gathering by your workshop leadership. You can use the online application form to submit your workshop proposal or if necessary, download a pdf application. Online submissions are preferred.

Request for Workshop Proposals - 2017 Festival -
Deadline for proposals is March 14. You will
be notified by the end of March if your proposal is accepted.
If you have more than one workshop concept, please submit a separate proposal for each workshop topic. Since workshops are presented every day, please let us know if you would be willing to present your workshop on more than one day. Our presenters are all volunteers and come from a wide range of backgrounds and experience levels. Their presentations are a gift to the attendees and the Network towards the advancement of biblical storytelling. Thank you again for your interest and for your willingness to share your gifts with us.
2017 Festival Gathering: 90 MINUTE STORYTELLING WORKSHOPS
These workshops are traditional conference-style workshops. They are 90 minutes long. Please continue to read the information below about the 2017 conference and workshop guidelines. Use the application form at the bottom of this information to apply to be a workshop leader. PLEASE ATTACH A JPEG PHOTOGRAPH OF YOURSELF TO THE ONLINE APPLICATION. 2017 Festival Gathering: STORY THEATER WORKSHOPS
Each of our story theater workshops has multiple storytellers. Story length can be up to 20 minutes. These workshops are held during regularly scheduled workshop times. They provide conference attendees with an opportunity to see different storytelling styles. We ask that only experienced performers apply for these slots. The Marketplace - MERCHANDISING OPPORTUNITY: If you are an author or artist and wish to sell your books or CDs or artwork in the Festival Gathering Marketplace, please let the NBS Office know by May 1. CLICK TO REQUEST SPACE HERE. Table space is limited, so it is first come, first served. Each item to be sold should be individually marked. Check in your sheet with the Bookstore Mgr., Elaine Davies, when you arrive, and be sure to check out before you leave and let her know how many pieces you sold. You will receive a check within a month of Festival Gathering for the amount sold less 10%.
If your proposal is accepted, you will be notified by the end of March.
IF YOU ARE SELECTED TO BE A 2017 WORKSHOP LEADER:
HANDOUTS -DEADLINE MAY 1, 2017 Handouts should be emailed to the NBS Office in Indianapolis by NO LATER THAN MAY 1, 2017. Your copies will be available to be picked up at the Workshop Registration table when you get to the National 4-H Center.
Recommended Resources--DEADLINE MAY 1, 2017 Will you be recommending any resources? If so, we would be happy to purchase them if possible and stock them in the Festival Gathering Bookstore. We welcome workshops on an variety of topics, but also welcome workshops that will teach skills in these areas:
Improve Performance Skills; Storytelling Outside Worship; Technology in Storytelling; How to Make a Video or Use Graphics; Marketing Your Storytelling; Creative Arts and Music in Storytelling; Storytelling and Scholarly Studies; Storylearning Tips and Big Ideas
