The Festival Gathering of the Network of Biblical Storytellers is famous for its quality workshops. We hope you will consider sharing your expertise with others at the Festival Gathering by your workshop leadership.
Use the online application form below to submit your workshop proposal. Online submissions are preferred, but you may also download a pdf application.
Proposals Deadline: March 1st.
You will be notified in early spring of the status of your proposal.
Please note: digital projectors are not included in our workshop rooms at the Marriott. If you require digital projection, please contact our office.
If you have more than one workshop concept, please submit a separate proposal for each workshop topic or performance request.
Workshops are presented every day, so let us know if you would be willing to present your workshop on more than one day. Our presenters are all volunteers and come from a wide range of backgrounds and experience levels. Their presentations are a gift to the attendees and the Network towards the advancement of biblical storytelling. Thank you again for your interest and for your willingness to share your gifts with us.
These workshops are 90 minute traditional, conference-style workshops. Use the application form at the bottom of this page to apply to be a workshop leader.
Please attach a jpeg photo of yourself to the online application. Remember to fill out a separate application for each individual workshop proposal. Please email our office with any questions.
We especially welcome workshops that can be used by these groups:
- Pastors, Clergy, Chaplains, Worship and Spiritual Leaders
- Professors, Christian Educators, Teachers
- Leaders of Youth and Children’s Ministries
We welcome workshops on a variety of topics, but we particularly appreciate workshops teaching skills in the following:
- Performance Skills
- Storytelling Outside Worship
- Technology in Storytelling
- Using Video and Graphics
- Marketing Your Storytelling
- Creative Arts and Music in Storytelling
- Storytelling and Scholarly Studies
- Storylearning Tips & Big Ideas
Please incorporate the following in your 90 minute presentation:
- Group Discussion
- Question and Answer Opportunity
- Audience participation (written and verbal activity, solo or group)
Story Theater Workshops
In the Storytelling Theater, experienced tellers can share their biblical or non-biblical story for 20 to 30 minutes before an audience of enthusiastic listeners. Each of our story theater workshops have multiple storytellers, providing conference attendees with an opportunity to see different storytelling styles. Take this opportunity to share your amazing storytelling gift with a Festival Gathering audience. We ask that only experienced performers apply for these slots.
